Trump has only been president since January 20th this year, yet already law enforcement officials have reported that over 1,500 arrests have been made of people involved in the human trafficking industry this year. This includes the sex trafficking industry, which has resulted in the release of many slaves sold into this market.
This is a massive contrast to 2014 where only 400 arrests were made in the trafficking industry – according to DailyWire.com.
The mainstream media has allowed this to go largely unreported despite being one of the biggest stories and successes of the new administration so far this year.
Author of the DailyWire piece, Joseph Curl, had this explanation:
“One, it would take away from the daily meme that Trump is owned by the Russians,” he writes. “Two, it would show that the President really meant what he said when he vowed to come to Washington and ‘drain the swamp.’”
Many sites like this one which take a more favourable view towards the office of the President have made efforts to publicise the story as much as they can. However, as long as the main stream media continues to be unfavourably biased against the government, the perception of the general public will remain largely and dangerously reflective of that.
With regards to issues like human trafficking, it is crucial that this information is publicised, thanks to Twitter many users are able to discuss and share the story.
