The Mail reporting on itself here.
The Daily Mail stirred up some US-style controversy in the media today after instead of reporting a headline on the tense discussion between Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Prime Minister Theresa May it decided to compare the two’s legs.
In what could be considered an interpretation on the stupidity of the situation that yet again, unsurprisingly, the SNP have decided to push for a second ‘once in a generation’ chance at Scottish independence, the Mail was called sexist by a number of people on Twitter.
They even managed to unite the Labour party, Corbyn’s tweet was echoed by many Labour MP’s
It’s 2017. This sexism must be consigned to history. Shame on the Daily Mail. pic.twitter.com/V3RpFSgfnO

It’s 2017. Two women’s decisions will determine if United Kingdom continues to exist. And front page news is their lower limbs. Obviously pic.twitter.com/AMp0YvtISa

Ironically, the “sexist” article was written by a woman, Daily Mail columnist, Sarah Vine.
“Finest weapons at their command? Those pins!” – Sarah Vine
The Prime Minister commented on the headline saying it was “a bit of fun”.
“If people want to have a bit of fun about how we dress then so be it.” – Theresa May MP, Prime Minister
The Mail then proceeded to urge the BBC to “get a life” over its coverage of their front page.
The Daily Mail then posted this just an hour ago as tomorrow’s front page. Whilst acknowledging the UK’s newly found freedom with the triggering of Article 50, it also posts a cheeky retort to yesterday’s front page.

Twitter also had more to say:
We’re living in the most political unstable era of my lifetime, and the Daily Mail are writing sexist articles about our leader’s legs. pic.twitter.com/54uAuAE9Sp
