DAY OF RAGE: Displaced GRENFELL Residents to Live in Luxury

The government however has just done the next best thing, and for those on the left unfortunately, it's an amazingly capitalist plan too.

As the ‘hijacking and politicising of the Grenfell disaster’ march (more commonly referred to as the ‘Day of Rage’) begins, the message of liberals, lunatics and lefties has been somewhat diluted.

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and his band had called for un-occupied but otherwise privately owned Kensington housing stock to be seized and given to displaced Grenfell residents.

However, being the communist, state-sponsored theft it is, this was never on the table for the government.

The City of London Corporation has just announced it is purchasing 68 luxury apartments for displaced residents, each of them worth anything from £1.6m each.

The apartments are 1.5 miles from the Grenfell tower and within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea area, ensuring that families are not moved too far from their original homes.

The upmarket apartments will make up part of the City of London’s social housing stock, it is not known yet whether residents will have access to the gym, swimming pool, private cinema and concierge services not normally offered to council tenants.

This news helps to dispel the accusations from critics that Kensington is a “tale of two cities” as referred to by Jeremy Corbyn.

Grenfell tower residents are expected to move into their new residency by July-August.

Communities Secretary Sajid Javid (Con) said this:

“Our priority is to get everyone who has lost their home permanently rehoused locally as soon as possible, so that they can begin to rebuild their lives. The government will continue to do everything we can as fast as we can to support those affected by this terrible tragedy.”

There is no class war.
